Kit contents
nexReader is delivered as a kit, not just a reader. It combines the dual reader, an NFC / Eye Care Card license card, and two nexCard cards to start a local card workflow.
Reader and activation support
nexReader is both a reader and an activation support. Final compatibility depends on the Nexio product, activated license, and target workflow. The reader alone does not transform data: reading or writing depends on the connected software or device.
License per device
NFC and Eye Care Card functions are activated per device: the license is tied to each relevant nexBox, nexBox-Dual, nexRef, or Refractor 900. The standards supported by the reader do not guarantee application-level compatibility with every card on the market; NIDEK / Marco cards remain validated model by model.
Technical base
The specifications are based on the AB Circle CIR315B reader in Nexio OEM version, with USB-A interface, CCID / PC/SC compatibility, and support for contact and contactless cards.
